In 1996 a group of keen volunteers set up Bradbourne JFC. This was a reasonably small organisation but it immediately began to attract new players. Robin Daly and Bob Stock together helped the club find its feet financially and built the foundations for the club to grow.
Bradbourne JFC then moved to Seal for the 2001/2002 season and henceforth became known as Seal Juniors FC. The club remained under this name for six seasons growing in numbers and status. This meant more grounds had to be found, more money had to be spent and more work had to be done.
In 2005 Chris Bates became Chairman of Seal Juniors FC and guided them through further growth with the help of Nick Farr, Club Treasuerer, who ensured the club remained financially healthy. During his tenure as Chairman Chris agreed a formal partnership with Sevenoaks Town FC, established in 1883 making them one of the oldest clubs in the country, and therefore the club changed its name to Sevenoaks Town JFC.
The shift of identity to Sevenoaks Town Juniors Football Club capacitated room for even more players and it also opened up new opportunities for the club as a whole.
Paul Lansdale took over as Chairman of STJFC in 2007 and built on the fundations left by Chris Bates and within a year the club was awarded the Charter Standard Development Award. The year was topped off with an extravagant Awards Ceremony which was hosted in a marquee at Greatness Park where over 500 people attended and special guest John Salako presented the players' awards.
During the 2008/2009 season the club obtained the most prestigious award available as it became a Charter Standard Community Club. STJFC also launched its Football in the Community Scheme which has been a great success incorporating the FA 3 Lions School-Club Link, Skills School and work towards a girls' team and coaching for the disabled. Finally work began on our faciltiies project as it was clear that facilities would be a significant hindrance in the future.
At the start of the 2009/2010 season the club set up its first ever girls' side and also run its first ever disabled coaching course for Valence School and RLSB Dorton House. The club held another fantastic Awards Ceremony and the club was honoured to share its special day with a team made of celebrities and players from the Tottenham 1984 UEFA Cup Winning Squad including Micky Hazard, Ricky Villa, Graham Roberts and Steve Sedgely. The match was officiated by former Premiership Referee: Dermot Gallagher. The game was attended by around 1500 people.
The 2010/2011 season saw the club's greatetst achievement yet as it was awarded 2011 Kent County Charter Standard Community Club of the Year. The club was also asked to sit on the Charter Standard Club steering committee to help guide junior football in the county. We also became the Kent FA's 'hub club' for Blind and VI Football Coaching. By the end of the season the club had an enormous 32 teams ready to register for the 2011/2012 season.
