STJFC is a very popular club and due to the fact that our teams compete at a variety of levels we attract and welcome players of all abilities. However one of the problems with being popular is that many of our teams are full and spaces are hard to come by.
Therefore the sad reality is that every week we have to turn away players that enquire about joining. In an ideal world we would love to accept everyone but this is simply not feasible. However if enough players enquire for a certain age group to start a new team then we are always open to this possibility.
The best way to enquire about joining is to either go to the Contact Us page or contact the manager of the relevant team directly by finding their contact details on the relevant team page. Alternatively you can attend Skills School during the summer. Skills School is pirmarily targeted at boys and girls between the ages of four to eleven years old. Every week some of our managers come to Skills School and are available to talk to people who want to join the club.
As the club hates turning people away we are occasionally able to offer children the opportunity to at least train with a team. This is at the relevant team's manager's discretion.
During the pre-season most of our teams hold Open Days to recruit new players. Please look out for details of these on the home page and on the team pages.
Subscription Fees and Process
In order to register players and their parents must complete a number of forms: a club membership form, various league registration forms and a Gift Aid form which enables us to claim tax back from the government on donations. There are also a number of documents which must be read and signed including our Code of Conduct and our various policies on Emergency First Aid and Image and Video Consent.
Finally you need to pay the annual subscription. The fees vary from team to team and the club also offers discounts to families with more than one child playing for the club. Special financial circumstances will also be taken into account under the discretion of the Club Chairman and the Club Treasurer.
The club is a non-profit organisation and hence these fees go directly towards the running of each team - training costs and match day costs. From our research our fees are cheaper than the majority of other football clubs and other various leisure activities or clubs.
